AI Transparency
How Bloomopia uses artificial intelligence, what data may be processed, and the controls you have.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
1. AI we may use
When you enable BloommyAi in Account → Privacy or via an in-chat opt-in, Bloomopia may send selected wellness context to Google (Gemini API) (Google Gemini (current generation)) to power:
- Ask Bloommy companion chat
- Optional daily wellness insights
- Optional AI-assisted guides and planning tools
- Optional voice features when you use them (separate provider if enabled)
Exact model versions may change as providers update their services. We do not publish internal routing, API paths, or environment configuration in this policy.
2. How plans affect AI
BloommyAi is the same opt-in cloud feature across plans. Limits differ by subscription — not by a different secret model list shown to users.
Free
Optional BloommyAi chat and insights via Google Gemini, limited by daily Cosmic Sparks when opted in.
Bloomopia Plus / Pro
Same Google Gemini cloud stack when opted in, with higher or unlimited cloud chat according to your plan.
On-device companion
Local replies stay on this device when BloommyAi is off, you are offline, or cloud is unavailable. No message content is sent to third-party AI.
Apple on-device (supported iPhones)
Where available, some insight features may use Apple on-device intelligence entirely on your device.
3. When cloud AI is unavailable
If BloommyAi is off, you are offline, or cloud AI cannot respond, Bloommy uses a published AI_FALLBACK_CHAIN: cloud when you have opted in, then a safer local path, then on-device companion logic. In local mode, chat content is not sent to third-party AI processors.
- Server Gemini API
- Client Gemini (on-device key)
- On-device companion logic
4. Optional account backup
Bloomopia is local-first. Core wellbeing features work without an account. Optional signed-in backup uses Supabase (PostgreSQL + Auth) when configured (SUPABASE_DISCLOSURE). Without cloud keys you can still use the app fully offline.
5. Data processing & opt-in
BloommyAi is strictly opt-in and off by default. No message content is sent to third-party AI processors until you enable BloommyAi in Account → Privacy or via an in-chat opt-in. Sending a chat message alone does not enable cloud AI.
Your device only authorises cloud AI requests after you opt in. Turning BloommyAi off stops new AI API calls from this device.
When BloommyAi is enabled, data categories may include:
- Chat messages you send to Ask Bloommy
- Wellness context you include (mood, habits, journal excerpts, activity trends)
- Companion personality and focus-area preferences
- Approximate location (city/region) when used to personalize support resources
- Guide or masterclass goals you enter for AI-generated content
We instruct our AI processors to use your data only to provide the Service. Your identifiable content is not used to train public foundation models.
6. Safety moderation
Before content is sent to cloud AI, Bloomopia runs safety checks. Crisis or harmful inputs are prioritised toward local helplines and the in-app Safety hub — not treated as ordinary chat.
AI responses include wellness framing and are filtered to avoid medical diagnosis or prescription language.
7. Non-medical statement
Bloomopia is a wellbeing companion — not a medical device, clinician, or emergency service. Always contact qualified healthcare professionals or emergency services for medical concerns.
8. Your control
You can view, export, and delete local wellbeing data anytime in Account → Privacy. Disabling BloommyAi immediately stops new AI API calls from this device.
- Toggle BloommyAi on or off anytime in Account → Privacy.
- Export your wellbeing data as JSON from Account → Privacy.
- Erase all local wellbeing data from Account → Privacy.
- Reset consent toggles to privacy-first defaults (all off).
